Reliable Data Services was formed as a side-line business by Ray Williams while he worked in the field of data processing. It's purpose was to provide professional services to small businesses, churches, and individuals at very reasonable rates. Ray worked in the computer field for 20 years, spending 10 years working for systems software companies, including Computer Associates. During that time, he performed services at many large companies: He was teaching a class at White Sands Missile Range the day the Challenger exploded, has installed software on the system in Houston that runs the space shuttle, as well as many others. Georgia, his wife, performed many of the functions for Reliable Data Services, and is the brains behind much of the current website design.
Ray left the computer field to start his own full-time business in a non-related field. As his business grew, he wanted a website to help it grow more. Not wanting to pay exorbitant rates for website services, he designed his own website. People compliment the site and asked about getting Ray to design a website for them. As a result, he and Georgia revived Reliable Data Services as a provider of websites.
Gary Smith, CDP (Certified Data Processor -- "CPA" for computers), provides technical advice and consultation, providing you with more brain-power behind our services. Gary has been in the computer business for many years, previously working as a research scientist. His research group is in the Guinness Book of Records twice. Semi-retired, he works part-time as an adjunct professor at a college teaching -- what else? -- computer science.
Gary is a "Microsoft Office Specialist," certified in Microsoft Office Access 2003.
